Last week the kids all went back to school, I found my self planning the week out organising assignments and exams that had been put on hold due to my daughters accident last month. I had made a note for February it said, "Do something for you the kids are back at school!" I often write little notes to myself when I'm extremely busy and post them into my diary so when I get to that page its a gentle reminder to take time for me!

So I did enlisting in a 30-day pilates and meditation challenge, and after the chaos of the holidays and juggling various responsibilities a perfect way to help the mind and body. It's a significant step towards self-care. Reclaiming time for yourself amid school drop offs and hectic schedules is empowering. Beyond physical benefits, engaging in personal challenges contributes to holistic well being, reinforcing resilience and a sense of accomplishment. Prioritising self care, whether through Pilates, meditation or pursuing postponed studies, fosters a balanced and fulfilling life.

Embarking on a 30-day Pilates challenge and prioritising self-care offers numerous benefits:

  • Social Interaction -  Group challenges create a supportive community, fostering social connections.
  • Holistic Well-being - Balancing physical and mental aspects contributes to an overall sense of well-being and resilience.

Embarking on a 30-day meditation challenge holds immense importance for overall well being, offering various benefits:

  • Stress Reduction - Meditation helps calm the mind, reducing stress and promoting relaxation.
  • Enhanced Focus and Concentration - Regular meditation improves attention span and cognitive abilities.
  • Emotional Well-being - Mindfulness meditation fosters emotional resilience and better management of emotions.
  • Improved Sleep Quality - Practicing meditation can contribute to better sleep patterns and insomnia relief.
  • Reduced Anxiety - Mindful meditation techniques are associated with decreased anxiety levels.
  • Lowered Blood Pressure - Meditation has been linked to improved cardiovascular health, aiding in blood pressure regulation.
  • Increased Self-Awareness - Mindfulness practices promote self reflection and awareness of thoughts and emotions.

  • Better Relationships - Mindful communication cultivated through meditation can lead to improved relationships.
  • Overall Well-being - Regular meditation contributes to a holistic sense of well being, balancing mental, emotional, and physical aspects of health.

Embracing self care is an essential act of kindness towards oneself. In the whirlwind of life's demands, allocating time for personal well being is not a luxury but a necessity. It's crucial to shed any feelings of guilt associated with prioritising self care. Recognising that investing in your mental, physical, and emotional health ultimately enhances your ability to navigate challenges and support others. Remember, self care is not selfish. It's a vital foundation for sustained resilience and a more fulfilling life. So What will you choose to do for you this week?

Until our paths cross again embrace wellness and thrive

Sending you all love and light
